Use appropriate PPE, ventilation, fire protection, spill control, lockout or isolation practices, and safe lifting and support. Never rely on a jack alone; use correctly rated stands and supports and follow the equipment manufacturer’s instructions.

Read the vehicle’s current service documentation before starting. Disconnect or isolate energy sources when appropriate, keep ignition sources away from fuel and vapors, protect wiring from short circuits, and have a qualified person check work that affects steering, braking, suspension, fuel, restraint, structural, or high-voltage systems.

Year, model, trim, market, build date, replacement parts, prior repairs, modifications, and present condition can change what applies. Before relying on a critical instruction, verify torque, clearance, wiring, fluid, fastener, fitment, VIN, and date-code specifications against the actual vehicle and authoritative sources for that configuration.

A guide may describe a representative configuration or a documented example. It does not establish that every part on a particular vehicle is original, correct, safe, or numbers-matching.

Editorial sources may be incomplete, conflict with one another, use uncertain terminology, or omit a variation. We may revise a guide when a sourced discrepancy is identified, but a revision process is not a promise that a guide is complete, current, or error-free. Preserve the source documents and use the newest authoritative service information you can obtain.
